Shola Allyson is a popular name in the south-west today; she came to limelight after releasing a soundtrack to a film titled “Eji Owuro”. Her song album also titled “Eji Owuro” was released in 2003 and the song was an instant hit, the reason was not farfetched: it is a soulful music about pure and unadulterated love from God; the song became popular among lovers and couples. The song remains evergreen because of its lyrics and the sweet and pure voice that accompanied the song. Others albums she released apart from Ejji Owuro includes Im’oore and Gbe je F’ori.

Shola Allyson Obaniyi simply known as Shola Allyson is a songwriter, Folk singer and Soul singer. Shola was born in Ikorodu, Lagos; she attended Anglican Primary School, for her primary education and she later attended Shams-el-deen Grammar School in Ikorodu for her secondary education. She attended a Government Technical College in Agidingbi, Ikeja where she studied Business Studies and bagged an NBTE certificate.
For her tertiary education, Shola gained admission into The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1997 to study Music Technology; she had her major in Voice and Minor in Music. Shola bagged HND (Higher National Diploma) in Music and graduated with Upper Credit.

Shola Allyson started her music career at the age of 13; she later became a professional backup singer for late Gbenga Adeboye, Pasuma. Yinka Ayefele, Stella Monye, Daddy Showkey, Obesere, and others. Luck smiled on Shola Allyson when she met a man with a movie script in a bus, the man started a conversation with her and in no time he was telling her about the movie shoot he just finished. He told her the title of the film is “Orekelewa” and he later asked her to compose a soundtrack for the film, the soundtrack” Eji Owuro” led to change of the title of the film from “Orekelewa” to “Eji Owuro”.
When the film was released the soundtracks was also made into a music album by the studio. The album was an instant hit and it recorded tremendous success, the album titled “Eji Owuro” launched Shola Allyson into the music industry and into the limelight. After Eji Owuro (2003), Shola Allyson also released other albums “Gbeje F’ori” (2005), “Ire” (2007) and “Imoore” which is her recent album.
